@patchwork_mind I've not seen anything new or unusual, but there are quite a few fledgelings about at the moment. Feels like it's a bit early for them.☺
Bit worried about them with this sudden cold snap, though.
@Chaffinch poor little things must be fridgid. There's a robin nested in our backgarden, in an ivy covered wall and the poor thing is running herself ragged; she must have chicks.
@patchwork_mind Oh, the poor thing! I hope the weather is kinder to her and her brood. It must be tough enough as it is.
We get birds sheltering in the larger bushes and whatnot in the garden, but no nests as yet. Right now they're all hunkering down against the wind and rain.
Makes me appreciate exactly how hard their little lives are!
@Chaffinch it's pretty sheltered where she has her nest so I hope so!
They have it rough! It amazes me how much animals go through just to stay alive. Voles metabolisms are so high they have to eat almost constantly and when you're only the size of someone's thumb the world is a dangerous place!

Oh, definitely. Especially with the amount of predators they have to put up with. Nature is truly a wonderful thing.☺
