hey what should i try playing on the guitar?
ultimately the problem with learning to play music is that i demand it sound cool at every stage of fumbling and that can happen but rarely

@shoofle o god, this is bad w composition too

like I'm like "well I should scrap this because it doesn't sound anything like what I want it to" but if I keep going it either DOES sound like that once all the elements come together, or it doesn't but still sounds good in its own way? idk

weird roundabout way of saying "stick with it, but I know sticking with it is a huge pain in the ass"

@Warkgnall this is pretty! i wish i were better at playing stuff like this. i don't really know how to practice this kind of stuff :(
@shoofle Well, you look at the notes and see which notes you need to play. Then you find those notes on a guitar and see how you can play them. This is the fun problem-solving part. Then you play it over and over until you pretty much know it. Then you do it really slowly in time with a metronome. Then you speed it up a little when you feel comfortable. But remember: practicing slowly is the way to improve speed; practicing quickly teaches sloppiness.
