#questiontime : would you rather watch your country's #public #television or your country's commercial television? Or not tv at all?
@MickeyHoyle Germany: For news and other kind of information: public TV (or no TV at all). Other stuff (shows etc): depends.
The German public TV has regional and special interest channels where they sometimes try new things/ideas and some of them are great. But there are also some few commercial channels where they try crazy fun stuff ;-)
@Lapizistik here in The Netherlands commercial stations rarely broadcast documentaries or shows with a political/social/societal theme. Mainly just game shows and sponsored concepts.
@MickeyHoyle There are political talkshows on German commercial TV, but I prefer nit to watch them (on the other hand I prefer not to watch most political talk shows at all as they are not insightful but make me angry. There is one exception: the Presseclub (public TV), where (mostly newspaper) journalists are invited to talk about one topic once a week).
