All these posts about GNU Social "versus" Mastodon fail to acknowledge the simple fact that I frankly don't give a shit. I want a Twitter replacement that works and has people I like on it. Wether there's an underlying masturbatory war of whichever protocol implementation is better just annoys me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@jemus42 I can see how it gets on your nerves, but it's not a 'masturbatory war of whichever protocol implementation is better', there are actual federation problems that should be resolved somehow.

@Guyjin May be, but tell that to the GS crowd who shits on Mastodon/Gargron all day long for one reason or another. If I have the choice between a fediverse of GS+Mastodon or Mastodon only, I might as well include GS, but oh well, people gonna be people.
