A conversation between @jamiegray and I.
Jamie: Oh look, fried plantains.
Me: I've never had one, what do they taste like?
Jamie: Like a banana
Me: oooh I love bananas! *Bites* *blinks* that's not a banana.
Jamie: it's a cousin of a banana.
Me: it's something evil disguised as a banana.
@Meshelly @jamiegray You must have got a bad one. Ideally it's like a banana made sweet sweet love to a delicious french fry.
That is NOT what it tasted like. At all. @Marinaisgo @jamiegray
@Meshelly @jamiegray Are you at a Cuban restaurant? Question two: are there any Cubans there?
No, and maybe, I can't be sure. Lol @Marinaisgo @jamiegray
@Meshelly @jamiegray The only way you can know if you like plantains is to eat them at a good Cuban restaurant. If they're still bad, you might just dislike plantains.
Thet were poorly fried, and covered in cilantro. @Marinaisgo @jamiegray
@Meshelly @jamiegray Yeah... that's not ideal.
I took one bite and decided that it's either made wrong, or plantains were evil. Lol @Marinaisgo @jamiegray
@Meshelly @jamiegray Likely the former. Plantains can be difficult to master. A lot of people accidentally dry them out.
The sangria though. Omg the sangria is YUMMY. @Marinaisgo @jamiegray
