if we're talking star wars i'll just throw this out there - when my dad and i get together for xmas we have the yearly tradition of drinking and subjecting the rest of our family to the star wars holiday special

this should tell you 1- we are bad people 2- do not emulate us 3- i am obsessed with star wars in a thoroughly unhealthy way

@ebeth good god how has your family not just blinded themselves every time the scene of chewbacca's dad jacking it to that pornographic VR lady comes on. On another note, my friends were watching this a few days ago and showed me the scene of chewbacca cooking with his wife and they danced to the "whip and stir" scene while one of them was half naked in front of me

@carpedick i honestly think we just block that scene out of our memories every year. generally the heavy drinking starts about 5 minutes into the wookie-only-no-subtitles experience (so...5 minutes into the show)

we don't always make it through the whole special but when we do it's quite an accomplishment
