Then it had a REALLY WEIRD PHASE whilst it figured out what it was.

Then the mid 2000's it was AMAZING.

NOW?

It went mainstream and it has degraded into pop shit.

@Elizafox nope, the artists and music sources are just different. If you continue to listen to artists who started in the 2000er and are now big, sure. But that doesn't mean there is no creativity or originality anymore. Also, the influence of EDM on Pop is just bigger, so more pop music is influenced by it and its harder to find edm from small artists.
