@clacke I thought that all sounded familiar. You're right. I was disappointed in Widenius since he positioned himself as a free software advocate after forking into Mariadb, but then business source. Fair source seems to be way more about marketing than anything. Like, how do you define an organization to know how many get to view the source? How do we even know the source code provided is actually the program which gets distributed in binary form?

I'm just sick of seeing Silicon Valley continuously put out crap products whose only purpose is to exploit the ignorance of people who don't have (and shouldn't need) the technical aptitude to evaluate them.
