I thought when you boost something, isnt it like reposting it? I thought I was slick following myself on another instance and boosting my own toots to try to get it in the local feed on the other instance.

@stochastix idk I do that for this instance (main is on social, just the first one I signed up for).

Following a user on another instance links it to federated and boosting should [?] get it onto the local.

@sten0_SE Just tried boosting mine from here in .cloud and .technology, and i didnt see them on the local feed. I thought it worked yesterday though.
