@lauraritchie This is really interesting. In my previous position we instituted "scenario-based training" - We modeled it on Flight simulator idea & developed motto: "You have to crash a lot of planes in order to fly." Our approach was super low-tech. Whole thing was based on Ten Steps to Complex Learning & scafolded from easy to hard with "breakout" learning sessions at points of failure... #sofa2stage
@Tdorey sounds about right - but with emphasis on success here, & possibly more gently - not really breaking point, but standing on the platform and allowing it to be raised through practise to be at next level before engaging with it. My thought was that for kids would be so simple & cheap w/ cardboard vr headsets... could be teaching resource even for primary school #sofa2stage
@lauraritchie Yeah, absolutely. The focus on "fail in a safe space" was tied to a bigger plan we had to develop a culture that embraced & learned from failure. Our approach was also pretty low tech.#sofa2stage
