@penguin42 @alexl yeah it takes some time then. I don't know why, but I think it's in the Mastodon Queue system. All operations are queued and then executed at a later time. While it may look like your seeing the toots from some other instance, the toots are actually imported in this instance (that how it works everywhere). So you're never really seeing a live version, rather a local copy.
