The fact that it take so long for Windows (and macOS) to perform OS updates always keeps me confident in my choice in Linux as my main OS (among other reasons).

@snwh what is it about windows and updates?! Linux Mint, I update straight from terminal and it's a joy.

@snwh Has the timing gotten better. I used to find I was blocked from shutting down my laptop at the end of a long conference day because of the unexpected update warning...and waiting for as much as an extra hour before going home!

@Algot oh not at all, it was probably an hour total. It's no wonder the auto-updates are timed for the middle of the night.
