there's one thing i dislike about #mastodon users. a lot of them use no profile pic of themselves and use weird names instead of their own. i see fake names and fake photos. too bad...

@metkcom I think as the platform matures certain instances will insist on real name / pic policy and so those who want that environment will have it :)

@metkcom @A1 that's it. Mastodon is still mostly used as a "ooh, what is that", and not like a valid alternative to Twitter. That's why the temporary public-chatroom-like handles are used 🦃
