It was a good spot for a while, but got overrun. I think Icosahedron will be much more sustainable.

@ryanmaynard not just too crowded, but too crowded by nice folks that speak languages I can't interact with. I was spending all my time muting/blocking people to try and manage the local timeline to the point where I could follow a thread.

I moved all my followers to this account, so my Home looks the same. I hope this local is good too.

@ino That makes sense. On day one of my account, I keep searching Federated timeline because mastodon.cloud was quiet. Now I have 500+ toots that say <one minute ago>

@xuv I was user 249 on the instance. There's now 27,000. Of that 27,000 it feels like 25,000 or so speak a language I don't. The timeline was unmanageable. I couldn't follow conversations or join in.

I'm trying to find a new "home" now. I like icosahedron, but I'm worried it's not connecting to all the other instances. Federated timeline is sloooooow here.

@smt @ino real quiet here so far. I like the theming and care put into it, but I'm getting major delays from federated timeline. Your status from 3hrs ago just showed up. I may check out a few others before I settle.
