My first "pentest": I changed the html input type from "password" to "text" to reveal my brother's MySpace password. I though I was Mr. Robot that day.
.@zacharykeeton My first #SocEng: I made a web form that claimed to find "viruses" in MSN contacts. Had all my class logins and passes by the end of the day.
@red cool! I heard just yesterday that SE still has over 90% success rate.
@zacharykeeton That was twelve years ago, I do hope they know better by now... Or I'll tear through their Facebook accounts ;)
@red ever try one where it says incorrect password everytime then ask to verify email? Might get multiple passwords plus email creds. Never messed with it myself, but I think it would work on me given the right situation.

@zacharykeeton Phishing with emails and fake domains is too deep for me. But abusing their stupidity by telling them "Look, use this app, it's 100% safe, trust me!" gives me no bad feelings.

Actually, yeah, I'm gonna do a stupid FB app that asks for all permissions and see how many suckers get reeled in x_x

@red ha.. that reminds me: my 4yr old son has android tablet and knows how to install the free games and accept permissions requests... I took a look at them and had to reset the device. probably owned 17 times over. "This free kids' game needs access to your camera, microphone, and text messages" :tired_face:
@zacharykeeton I'm gonna file this under "More reasons I should get a vasectomy" :P
@red that sent a chill up my spine
@zacharykeeton Haha, sorry for the dark humor :D I was just discussing the issue of kids with my girlfriend and it got me into the mood ^^,
@red ha it's cool. I love all humor. No trigger warnings needed here. Just the thought of knives anywhere in that general vicinity gives me the heebie jeebies. Haha
@zacharykeeton Next time, I'll put a trigger warning for that =D

@red oh please god no... haha i never want to be in the same room as people who actually need those.

trigger warning:::: grow a pair
