looking for privacy conscious software like #standardnotes, #keepass etc. any recommendations will be much appreciated.
@lixxus I love Keybase.io for file sharing.

@lixxus Peerblock, blocking peers in your torrent client (I recommend Tixati), u can check Tor or Brave browser. Use VPN (even ghost vpn is good),

This might be useful - http://winhelp2002.mvps.org/hosts.htm

@Mitaj thank you, ive been using nordvpn for past year. I live in the UK and they are censoring DNS through internet service provider for sites
@lixxus To be honest, the best way to be safe is being resonable. U cannot be fully invisible in network. Avoid dangerous website (hosts file that i sent you might help with this), use good protection (my recommendation would be Secureaplus and Zonealarm firewall). Secureaplus is cloud antyvirus with most powerful scanners (ClamAV, its very heavy but works perfectly).
@Mitaj yeah i got those hostfiles through ublock origin addon on firefox. i use clamwin but would you recommend changing to secureaplus ?

@lixxus I would change clamwin to secureaplus. It's the best antyvirus I know. But use it only if you have atleast 4GB RAM. But it's your choice, read about secureaplus and make a choice. Ublock is great, I'm also using it with hosts filter (however I use hosts file separately anyway).

And one more thing, try to learn how to use veracrypt, it's also very useful.

@Mitaj yeah ive encrypted all my usb using veracrypt

@lixxus I encrypted whole HDD :P Last idea is to set strong passwords on your emails, OS, router and keep in mind that u should never ever sent your personal info using network. Hackers can always break all securities, the point is how long will it take. Nobody wants to spend 20 hours hacking normal home notebook so passwords are important.

And... that' it :P For now I told you all my ideas, but maybe I'll add something later.

Cheers :)
