@IgorHawks Autotranslate would be great if it actually worked well. Most online translators suck. Japanese to English seems particularly bad, as does Arabic to English.

@IgorHawks They work pretty well translating European languages and languages that use the latin alphabet. They seem to struggle with anything else.

@ink_slinger yeah... even with latin/cyrillic - it sucks pretty much, whenever the actual phrase is using casual language instead of a correct use and grammar

@adrienk yeah, but since almost anyone can do that, that make it a "sub-reddit" threads which are hard to boost on the internet, and which will flood the main timeline with 100500 toots every second - which makes it unbearable. further development needed, for sure
