@laurakalbag Pretty sure "local timeline" is for your instance only

@laurakalbag local is only toots from the server you are on (you are on mastodon.social) and federated is all the toots from your server but also the others (there are more than 500 in the world right now :) )

Local timeline contains all the public posts posted by users on your instance (mastodon.social).
Federated timeline contains the local timeline plus the public posts posted by users followed by users on your instance.
