Now over 160,000 users on Mastodon, impressive. How are people finding interesting folks to follow? Not finding a lot of value in the Fed or Local timelines.

@seanbonner

I've followed about 500 people but I wish there was an easier way to do it.

@seanbonner Have you tried looking at the follow lists in the profiles of the few you do like?
@Algot Yep, but they are mostly on dif instances so don't show accurate lists.

@seanbonner
I can see your remote list by visiting this address:

That might help?

@seanbonner I'm finding people through searching on terms/hashtags I'm interested in, plus checking out the following lists of people I follow. In other words, much the same as I do on other networks.
@seanbonner agreed, it would be great if there was a site/resource to show renowned twitter users who are giving it a try.
@seanbonner yes. this is so true. I am not seeing conversations grow at the fed or local level.
@seanbonner They need to get their services up and running before I can recommend this to anyone. Couldn't sign up on the non main server. Still can't login on the mobile client. There is too much broken here still to be worth using it as a Twitter replacement.
@gullevek yep, lots of issues still. Over 500 instances now so tons of variance of experience. Long way to go.

@seanbonner The web client works. So it is something already.

But if they want to compete with Twitter they still have a long way to go. Or else they end up like "ello" or "g+"
