proceeds to not let me use ANY previously used passwords. I'm out of my go-tos. thanks arbitrary company policy

@bip Password policy is dumb. More bits are what make it hard to crack, not using a capital, a symbol, an emoji, and a phase of the moon.
@bip just add something like * or $ or - and you got another password easy to remember but still the same
@antheor yeah but the longer you work there, the more weird combinations of things you have to remember. its just an asinine policy

@bip I know, in fact those policies mostly make users write on Post-it their password or under their keyboard or something

So it's even less secure.

A friend of mine working at another company has a policy of 2 months, and he can't use the same password ever
