It is getting hard to do standard dev business here in Brazil. Companies are more and more prone to closing deals based on price rather than quality. I have lived this before, just after the NASDAQ crash, but this time things seem to be worse. Dev companies are plummeting their prices, hiring trainees and Jr. developers to replace Sr ones... the market is flooded with good devs that can't find jobs. Wonder what is going to happen...
@BugzBrown I feel your pain, I was the only senior at my last job and after some time got invited to have my salary cut in half, which made me left. It is common here in my city to have all-interns startups, the junior's compensations are ridiculous (~R$16/hour)
@BugzBrown It was already like this in 2007 when I decided to leave. I'm sad - but not surprised - to know things went downhill. ๐Ÿ˜•
