Pro-tip: To get web-UI to remember where you left off in the timeline, make sure your scroll bar is not pegged to the very top.

I can scroll all the way to the top, for example, and just click the down-arrow exactly once (or move knob down a few pixels). This is sufficient to get web-UI to not relocate your place in the timeline.

@pillarist I don't know what to say. Might be browser-specific behavior. :( I'm using a fairly ancient version of Firefox (v 44.0).

@vertigo Maybe it's when scrolling down, prompting more loading from the bottom that appears to throw things off to me?

@pillarist Yeah, you don't want to scroll too far down. For me, I scroll all the way to the top, then click the down-arrow once. That's sufficient to lock my slider in place.
