I may not be ideally suited for work in large organisations. So much of what they do I find grating and unproductive.

I also suspect that after a certain size, they are captured by upper middle management, and run on-behalf and to the benefit of that group. Rent seeking at the cost of customers, shareholders, and people that do actual work.
