wilkie (quilt appreciator)we should certainly experiment with and even break with OStatus since it is deprecated in favor of emerging standards from W3C. and you better believe they are watching this space grow and how OStatus buckles under the pressure. right now the emphasis on the W3C group is on localization, extensibility, and accessibility, not privacy. but this kind of site existing makes the case to push for such a standard extension! exciting!
