MOVED@pan I think this all relates to my basic anxiety toward trusting people? Which I think is common among autists--part of the literal mindedness is taking people at their word, which often doesn't work out even when they are earnestly TRYING to follow thru
Tiffany@LogicalDash @pan I find that though I often have the *instinct* to take people literally, I usually can figure out the non-literal meaning of an idiom rather quickly even if I've never heard it.
In short, marginally better than most at deciphering idioms, marginally worse than most at recognizing them.
