TYPE-MOON's Takeuchi Illustrates Book on Japan's Maid Boom | MANGA.TOKYO

The first and second volume of 'Nippon no Maid Culture-shi' (History of Japanese Maid Culture) has been released and Takashi Takeuchi (TYPE-MOON) lent a hand with the illustrations on the belly-band. This news was given out directly on Seikaisha's website. The illustration on the first volume is one of an original maid, made just for the book while the second volume feautures a picture of Tsukihime's Kohaku and Hisui. A collaboration between two Maid-Lovers Takashi Takeuchi is an illustrator and writer and also noted as the co-founder of the gaming-brand TYPE-MOON. He is known for really liking maids and this can be seen in the fact that there are even maids in his masterpieces Tsukihime and Fate/stay night. History of Japanese Maid Culture Volume 1/Picture taken from Saizensen The author of the book is Masaki Kuga, who is Japans biggest researcher of maids and has been doing research for 17 years.
