Gotta say, looking at other Inktober entries is an education. Airbrushed inks, brushed inks, solid ballpoint and felt work... It's fun to see how people experiment with the medium, be it digitally or traditionally! 😄
@TMWArtStuff It certainly is. I've always avoided Inktober 'cause I thought digital artists weren't allowed, but this year I'm seeing some of my fave digital artists participating and felt encouraged to try. Entered it a bit late though, oops. The piece I started for today isn't behaving either, argh. How has Inktober been for you so far?
@wysiwhee Not so bad, had to play catchup on day 1, and doing so again "today" (Got other committments) , but since I already know a lot of it is suggestions, I'm basically trying to improve by messing about with different styles (somewhat.)
So day 1 was grainy quill style inks, two was using a brush pen that seemed to have a lil' bit of bristle simulation, and 3 was a combo of Garlic-Pen and Felt Tip (Which, honestly, Clip Studio could have just called "Markers" and left it at that 😋 )
Think I'm gonna go with single palette blue for day 4, and *no* idea what I'll do for day 5, tbqh. 😂
@TMWArtStuff That's awesome that you're trying out different styles and brushes, I'm kind of envious. When I use a tool I'm not familiar with, I tend to get frustrated too quickly to be productive with it. And you're playing catch-up on your missed days, damn! That never even occurred to me. (hangs head in shame)
Single palette blue sounds like an awesome mood, good luck with it! You're really challenging yourself by the day. Very cool.
IDK what I'll do tomorrow either, except it'll be Gambit-related again. (Kind of doing Gambitober for my own sanity...I want to make fancomics of him, but I haven't been able to pin down a specific look yet. Hoping that forcing myself to draw him everyday this month will cement it for me.)
