@janet_val correct. Though the creepiest part of FB for me is people being served ads based on Whatsapp convos. Re: Mastodon: i doubt (well hope) we'll be served ads on the platform. But interested to see how brands utilize the space. I'm hoping they won't go with influencer marketing.
Michael_Spencer@NattyGov @janet_val I was struck by how many bots of so called news publishers there were here already. It's not like this is anything near mainstream yet and won't be likely ever.
The underground intimate feel has its particular charm, and if the vision is for a decentralized alternative to a monetized network, I guess we are safe for a while.
@NattyGov that is indeed creepy. And please, no influencer marketing. Even to someone who works in marketing like me, influencer marketing is one my least favourites.
