Look, if you're going to request features or provide feedback for Amaroq I truly appreciate it and will always look to make an effort to improve the app for everyone. In fact, I try to reply to everyone's suggestions - and to that I humbly request one thing: before you hit that toot button consider you're engaging in a real conversation. Telling me how sad something is and criticizing my development priorities is no way to get your foot in the door to a pleasant conversation.

@eurasierboy Hey, thanks for making this thing that I've used dozens of times a day for the last four or five days.

What is your preferred method of bug reports and//or feature requests?

@ajroach42 no prob! :3 feedback here will get the fastest response but if it's more than 500 chars you can always send to [email protected]!

@eurasierboy Okay, neat. I'll keep that in mind.

I did notice one thing that was kind of odd. On the web, if I reply to a boosted post, it replies to the original author. On Tusky, it replies to the original author and the booster (my favorite way).

on Amaroq, it just replies to the booster, which seems like maybe not the best option?

@ajroach42 Tusky beat me on this one, but yeah this is a known bug in Amaroq - it'll be fixed in the next version~ :3

@eurasierboy Neat! That's been the only thing I've noticed that seems unintentional.

Other than that, I like Amaroq more than the web UI!

@eurasierboy I so appreciate the app. I wouldn't have access to Mastodon otherwise. Thank you. πŸ™πŸΌ
@eurasierboy Along those lines, Amaroq is pretty great.
@sungo @eurasierboy seconding that. I like it much more than the web interface
@eurasierboy just want to say that you for making Amaroq.

@eurasierboy so many ppl have no experience with being a user who isn't a customer or product. they've forgotten that sometimes things are actually free.

like lambalambada said, amaroq is a gift to us of your labor of love. it's important to be kind and grateful. but that kind of behavior is alien under capitalism

@shel @eurasierboy It's funny how many people complain about stuff provided free of charge, out of the labour of love of someone

this program is provided "as-is", no warranty of any kind, expressed or implied, etc etc.

@eurasierboy There a public bug/feature tracker people could look at so you don't get 50 billion requests for the same feature?
@jhelwig I have not stood one up yet but I will sometime this upcoming week, for all our sakes πŸ˜‰
@eurasierboy Keep doing what you're doing! :punch:
@eurasierboy is there a place where we can report suggestions/fixes/UI improvements? If not I can set up a Trello board and I'll be happy to moderate it as well
@therealsaumil my friend if you would like to set up a trello and moderate an issues board for Amaroq I would be forever grateful - I had plans to set up a public facing issues board this week but if you're up to the task I would seriously appreciate it!
@eurasierboy consider it done. I'll set it up.
I mean, you could just not take things that way. You claim to have been attacked because someone said "paging..." and then was telling ME that it was sad that it didn't work the way I needed it to. Realize that maybe you misunderstood and didn't need to get defensive over being alerted to an accessibility issue and being asked to prioritize accessibility over other forms of customization. @eurasierboy
@Tehfraga I'm really not going to dig up that thread because I'm already over it. All I asked was to consider that I am a one man band and ya'll flipped shit and started calling me ableist, despite acknowledging and saying I'd look into the lack of accessibility.
Because you freaked out over a clear misunderstanding. I even messaged later and said sorry if I was an asshole. We always understood you're only one person and didn't expect change overnight. Just a simple "I will definitely put it on the priority list" or something. Meh. @eurasierboy
@Tehfraga never got such a message. Perhaps something did not federate right. I'm sorry things escalated the way they did. I'll make a conscious effort to not read into things so much, and I hope we can get things restarted on the right foot. It's never been my intention to be hostile towards feedback, and I admit I could have approached it better.
Thank you very much. I also apologize for not being clearer and getting angry so quickly. @archangelic and I were communicating with one another and trying to invite you into the conversation but we clearly didn't portray that well. I will be reinstalling Amaroq and look forward to witnessing it's development. Thank you again. @eurasierboy
@Tehfraga @eurasierboy Yeah, I'm also going to hop on this thread and say that I'm sorry for the way I handled things as well. I want this to be a better place, and that starts with me. :sparkling_heart:
