In the era where we move more and more of our online activity into walled gardens it's refreshing to see something taking an explicitly open approach getting some momentum and good publicity.

Isn't that what the promise of open Internet was supposed to be all about?

@hhariri it's the novelty factor, there's been some buzz in the media about it...

It's also been a while since something new in this space happened, since Google+ fiasco.

It does have some interesting features and potential so it might be interesting to see how it grows

@hhariri I must say not having to constantly force yourself to be super terse because 'ooops guess what - you just hit 140 characters limit' is a bigger deal to me than I thought it would be.

@hhariri I'm trying to also find different people to follow here than on Twitter so it ends up with a different character and vibe than merely becoming the clone or negative space of my twitter stream. With one notable exception for you my friend :)
