- We have 223 lovely users
- Our server peaked at 6% CPU over the past 6 hours
- According to the witches.town admin, we should be able to comfortably hold ~400 users without upgrading Azure
- I have received more requests for invites than I can reasonably do manually. I am working on registration filtered by email address
- I will add the unstoppable @ohhoe as our second moderator once I get her an account
- The bus factor will soon be higher than 1, I swear 😅
🎺.☕️ server isn't even breaking a sweat: https://toot.cafe/media/rEgEzABz2zgglguvYRs
@nolan Apparently there's a recent change that also switches the xml parser to something more performant?
@nolan @ohhoe the ux on the cw is funny! without expanding the warning, all i see is rach's handle https://toot.cafe/media/lvvziZQGvHIOB8zyBjQ
@meyerini @ohhoe I just noticed that, yeah. Also Mastodon has this bug where when you respond to a CW you need to re-select the CW button. Still getting the hang of this thing.
@nolan @meyerini on the mobile account the entire CW is hidden in the amaroq app!!
@nolan Sorry for just hitting you up, I couldn't find a preferred method for requesting invites. I'm a web dev guy so an instance with people who are doing JS etc would be fantastic
@colin_howells DM me on birdsite your email address and preferred username! I have a huge backlog but I am working on getting through it ^_^;;
@nolan Will do, and thanks :grin:
@ohhoe @nolan Can you elaborate on your app in Azure? Very curious.

@Motoma @ohhoe Ubuntu Server, 4-core for now, Alda from witches.town said 2 core is enough for 100 users, 6 core is enough for 600 users, so I'm playing it by ear but aiming for 400 users or so before upgrading again. Gotta get my Patreon set up before then though, because it's expensive.

Also I went with the non-Docker approach because I like to make work for myself

@nolan @ohhoe What is the monthly cost on that?
@Motoma @ohhoe couple hundred ATM. will probably become $400 once I scale up to support ~600-800 users (estimated based on stories from other admins)
@nolan @ohhoe $400/month for a single instance?!? That's outrageous!
