(technically I already though about building a chess game with it because we have everything in unicode needed for that, but here it's way funnier)

(but I don't know what game to make and I still having boring security to improve :[)

@bram poke @moritzheiber. ;) Here would be the purpose of an only-emojos-allowed instance.

@xuv

> Here would be the purpose of an only emojos allowed instance.

It's time to ping @ytone

@moritzheiber @bram Holy sh**. That instance already exists. It's https://mastodon.social/@ytone/7434982 (thx @zyabin101 )
@xuv No problem. ☺ My account there is @zyabin101
@zyabin101 @zyabin101 :) Although he needs to update it :) https://emojidon.global/about/more 1.3.3, that's a century ago in Mastodon's time. ;)
And I can't believe that you can choose usernames that are not emojiis... Doesn't that kill the concept? ;) cc: @ytone

@bram Oh, yeah !

Soon, a bot to play MUD within Mastodon, with maps dranw in emojis ?

Probably not very effective, but might be enjoyable just for fun !

@bram rouge bot
@ajroach42 is that something that already exist?
@bram I don't think so, but now I want it to.

@ajroach42 same

But I think rogue game might be too a too fast paced for mastodon UI, something a bit slower would probably be better (like a garden simulator game or I don't know)

@bram Rogue was turn based, though.

Unless I've misunderstood what you mean by fast.

@ajroach42 yes totally for rogue game, more like "not having to do too much actions to have consequences"

I don't have a good comparison but that could be something like: rogue game vs chess

In a rogue game it takes a lot of actions to just cross a room, in a chess game one action (moving a piece) ends up having a lot of impact so that make the game having more value per action in opposition to a rogue game.

Having to send 10 toots to cross a room seems annoying.

@bram

I could see that. Each move is too insignificant on it's own.

Hmm. Interesting problem.

@ajroach42 I think board games are a good direction to look on how to solve that

And time based game like the ones that are browser based where you have your town and a limited number of actions available per days/week.

@bram BBS door games are probably worth looking at too.

@ajroach42 oh yes, that too!

I have a friend who was obsessed with that but I never really played them so I don't know them very well :/

@bram BBSs died too young.

I gotta fix that.

@bram @chr omg but a topdown dungeon game via a mastodon bot though
@InspectorCaracal @bram @chr  mastodon plays sokoban?
@bea @InspectorCaracal @chr that looks like something not to hard to do, I wonder if there are FOSS version of sokoban that could be easily plugged into mastodon
