if the image for a shortcode changes does it start federating differently so the same toot will have two completely different appearances on different servers depending on whether they received it before or after the change or
Eugen Rochko@kibi We can make it update but the emojis don't exist as separate entities, i.e. you can't push only an emoji update out, it's connected to the statuses they appear in
For this reason we're assuming emojis to be more or less immutable, for the same reason where you shouldn't fully delete an account and create a new one with the same username
