OK y'all! http://tooter.today is live and ready to help your friends find places to toot from! It provides scored instances in an easy-to-use fashion for new users and helps onboard them to tinier instances. Please help me load-test it by boosting it across the fediverse! :)

@way you should filter that down to only the ones that are open for registration. i got at least one private node from this

@KitRedgrave really! I did do that, but the update script is fairly slow (once per hour) so those must have closed recently (or instances.mastodon.xyz doesn't always get it right). I'll need to figure out a way to solve that. thank you for letting me know!

@way it could be that the description and flag didn't match on that end, so you got bad data to begin with
