a really sweet article about reverse-engineering and exploiting the Broadcom WiFi firmware https://googleprojectzero.blogspot.com/2017/04/over-air-exploiting-broadcoms-wi-fi_4.html
@whitequark I knew their evil blobs were not to be trusted!
@crzwdjk right, because FOSS code doesn't have bugs
@whitequark I was thinking more "because their company leadership has been known for cocaine-fueled orgies at the CEO's basement dungeon" but sure.
@crzwdjk @whitequark it's an SV chip company so that's to be expected
@parataxis @whitequark Really? The place where I used to work only had that one incident with the CEO and the Moscow office and the vodka, after which alcohol was banned from the company.
@crzwdjk @whitequark I've never worked in a chip company but the CEO of the photonics company my dad worked at had a birthday party for his wife with ice statues that pissed champagne
@whitequark @crzwdjk I think he lives in the cayman islands now and will face possible fraud charges if he ever returns to the US?
