@Merristasis @Indigofera Read about this one some time ago. Yeah, you need a server (virtual private server somewhere, or computer in your house), but setup should be reasonably beginner-friendly and they have community help. Disclaimer: I haven't tried it.

I use Private Internet Access, myself. Not saying that's a better option, but they accept gift cards if you're paranoid. So that's a thing.
