IanMembers of Mastodon.network: I've got federation hooked up to ~30 of the instances with the highest amount of users according to https://instances.mastodon.xyz. Went around and followed a bunch of people, which causes federation to occur.

@EryRahim the way that I understand it works: once one person on an instance follows someone on another instance, everyone on the instance will see toots from all the members of the other instance.
