I'm used to thinking about social networks in terms of Silicon Valley - need 500m users or failure. But Mastodon could have 50k users that love it and that's just fine

@sonya Yeah, not everybody can be Facebook though. Most folks are worth ~$6/month across the entire web's advertising apparatus @aust
