My method when I'm stumped is to use guesses (and magick) to get a foothold, then prove it twice.
@PrincessOfCats that's one of the things worth mentioning about hacking actually. Patience and dogged "I will beat this" is the best mental model for a hacker. Sometimes you need to put something aside for a while but then you come back with fresh eyes and ideas and try again and again.

@thegrugq @PrincessOfCats

The most intelligent man in the world can complete a task in one hour.

A persistent man can do it in one month. End results are the same.

Perseverance is another form of intelligence.

@xy @PrincessOfCats @thegrugq in a way, perseverance evolves intelligence. It may be more important than intelligence, because, intelligence people quit things, too.
@donb @thegrugq @xy the reason I posted the Prometheus Rising section is that it can be hard to learn to have productive perseverance. I find I have to think in certain ways to be able to focus on something for that long.I have to believe I will win.
@PrincessOfCats @xy @thegrugq this is something I think about a lot, especially now that I have a little one. How to teach him the difference between obsession and perseverance, motivation, and evaluating ROI. It's possibly the most important lesson humans learn for long term success.
