I find joy in the fact that when I ended up in the Pacific Northwest, I found Steve Roberts had already moved here. It's almost like the verse wants me and him to collide, collude, and conspire. As he's long been my pretend spirit animal, I would be okay with this.
If you are curious, that excerpt is from this blog post wherein Steve walks through the electronics he built for the Microship at https://microship.com/microship-electronics-photo-essay/
@djsundog It's.... so..... PRETTY.... Q.Q
@drwho it really is, and functionally so too! 😍
@djsundog that's ... what ... okay yes this is a thing I am here for.
@djsundog Yeah, some of the wiring work with some old electronics was just amazing. I remember back in the late 80s I took to bits an old radio that didn't work anymore, and the wiring in it was immaculate. I remember it being on a breadboard with no onboard traces, so they used the wires for traces. All neatly routed. I wish I knew what model it was. Reminds me of some of things Dave takes to bits on the EEVblog channel.
@djsundog I am fanning myself, these serial ports give me the vapors
