I am so used for truncating myself to 140 chars, I need to start stretching carefully now that I have more room available. This feels strange. I hadn't realized that the 140 char limit had actually influenced the way I write english so strongly.
@HalvarFlake it is, frankly, lethal especially if you had a good command of English with liberal use of adverbs, commas, etc. Forcing thought in 140c is reductive and, as we've sadly seen, extremely powerful as a means to influence.
@cynicalsecurity @HalvarFlake Brevity is nevertheless often a virtue, and the 140 limit eliminates the clutter. I don' t expect the SNR to decrease with ≤500c tweets, but let' s see. At least now we can afford decent punctuation :)

@veorq @HalvarFlake I have had daft 140c conversations because a reader couldn't fathom what I was tweeting about as it required so much implicit knowledge that it was ridiculous to assume anyone could figure it out.

On the other hand it is still the best medium for my Dead Hand system…

@cynicalsecurity @HalvarFlake @veorq I expect less tweet storms that nobody can follow + more conjunctions..
@marver @veorq @HalvarFlake perhaps when, if, Italians show up there might even be proper use of the conjunctive form, at which point Hell will freeze
over.
