Mastodon has a ton of potential. It'll be interesting to see it progress over the next year. Embedding content from other social media platforms, creating previews for URLs, and clarifying privacy levels will make this massively user friendly.

The tug-o-war between Instagram, Facebook & Twitter picture previews shouldn't be a problem here, for instance.
