until today i had thought "gamergate" was some alternative to the steam game store / client.. it's a good name for something like that! there's no good name for what it was (is?) ... i'm made pretty happy with my level of disconnection from mainstream social media by that i had not even heard of such a thing. i still don't exactly know what it is, it seems to involve people[sic] being pissed off that penises don't write code? and channeling that into harassment of women? #theMoreYouKnowOnPurpose
