@b_cavello ggggppppllll
@b_cavello @0xdeadbabe also the fact that he just up and changed the license without talking to the other contributors
@0xdeadbabe @b_cavello "don't change the license without all the contributors agreeing" is like open source maintainer rule number one
@b_cavello @0xdeadbabe @parataxis if he kept the copyright he's entitled to. plus there are licenses that allow forking to some other licenses. also, where there even other contributors 6 months ago? if so did any of them complain?
@hisham_hm @0xdeadbabe @b_cavello I don't know, but I'm not willing to contribute server-side code to something that's AGPL so it doesn't make any difference to me one way or the other
@b_cavello @0xdeadbabe @hisham_hm my plan is to decouple the client from the server, rewrite the server in a different language and MIT license it
@b_cavello @0xdeadbabe @parataxis may I ask what's the problem with the AGPL? do you want to be able to run a server with proprietary mods?
@hisham_hm @0xdeadbabe @b_cavello I don't want to have to release code for and document every change I make to the server
@b_cavello @0xdeadbabe @hisham_hm so technically yes, I want to be able to run a server with proprietary mods
@hisham_hm @parataxis @b_cavello liberty? freedom? philosophical objections to legal coercion?
@parataxis @0xdeadbabe Looking at the history, there don't seem to have been other contributors at that time?
