@nev I feel you. That is 100% also my experience - "oh, there are cishet dudes involved? it's probably fucked at some level."
But! I do find the concept far more useful and liberating. I've introduced a few playful friends of mine to "play" using this framework. So, while I kind of reject it as underpinning for an institution or community, I embrace it as a cognitive tool to use in my interpersonal relationships. Hence.
