Today Audi announced a Level 3 self-driving car. What does that mean? Engadget explains: https://www.engadget.com/2017/07/11/audi-takes-its-self-driving-car-where-others-dare-not-go/
@nick These self-driving features are damaging prices towards real driverless cars. Nobody should be trusted with Autopilot.

@Tremelune @nick Level 3 does seem dangerous to me. An autopilot that doesn't handle all situations but you tell the driver they don't need to pay attention will cause accidents.

I'd wait for Level 4 or 5 before trusting the car.

@d @Tremelune I agree from a user standpoint, but I also see value in rolling out a limited featureset in order to collect data and determine the limitations of the system as-is. It's hugely important to get this right, and going all-in on the first release seems risky.

Plus, #business is all about that First Mover Advantage.

@nick @d These assholes will turn on autopilot, take a nap, kill someone, and create a whole bunch of regulations that fuck up progress.
