In case you missed it, Australia (and a few other countries) appear to be waging a bit of a war against encryption.

This morning the PM has used the insane rhetorical line that the "laws of mathematics are very commendable but the only laws [sic] that applies in Australia is the law of Australia."

George Brandis, the AG, is 'assured' by one of Britain's spy agencies that encryption messaging systems can be broken.

Laws to be introduced to parliament by the end of the year.

@drzax the GCHQ statements MUST be based on compromising the end-user devices, and keylogging or similar. I can't imagine any other scenario that'd make any kind of sense.

Then again there's not a whole lot of sense going around right now ...

I so wished the populace would have seen through the Coalition antics at that snap election but alas, no.
