@noiob i cant even seem to search for hashtags

@dan What do you mean? If you type a word into the search box, it's supposed to give you a link to the hashtag, which you can pin as a column in the default web interface

@dan what are you using to access Mastodon? The mobile website has the search bar above the toot compose thingy, most apps have a little magnifying glass icon you can tap on

@dan @noiob Sorry, you can't search hashtags in the current release. It's in the current beta already but it hasn't made it to a full release.
