This thread is my love letter to Creature Kitchen, which is currently somehow only £5.35 on GoG/Steam. I'm gonna be adding some non-spoiler screenshots too. #screenshots

The game is just gently spooky and gently puzzle-y. I'd appreciate more games with a spooky aesthetic that aren't trying to scare you. #screenshots
I loved that you are in the role as a caregiver, providing favourite meals to these spooky kids. I loved the initial 20 minutes especially, where the whole kitchen was a mystery and successfully making a meal felt like a celebration. #screenshots
I loved that there was an in-game scrapbook journal, which populated itself with in-character notes and doodles as you fed your friends. #screenshots
I loved that there were plenty of in game hints and nudges towards the solutions. I don't need all of my games to be a big challenge. Sometimes it's about feelings and evoking a mood. #screenshots
I loved that, as the game went on, the creatures got a bit weirder. While I am easily startled and was likely unintentionally jump-scared, none of the creatures were grim or fearsome. #screenshots
I was appreciative of all the little touches, the cracks in the walls, the little needlepoint sampler type decorations. This is the kind of game that wants you to rummage underneath the kitchen sink. #screenshots
After competing it, I found out that my Steam version had a whole dev folder, with all sorts of sketches, concept art and videos. It felt like peeking behind the curtain and showed how much love went into it. #screenshots
