Cat Shelter Construction In-Progress
The feral, black momma cat has now brought two different litters to my house. Her current litter is nearly weened, so I am in a race to finish constructing this shelter, where I plan to isolate the momma cat (who has never let me pet her, and sometimes hisses at me) and keep her fed and safe in this shelter, while preventing the male neighborhood cats from getting her pregnant again. I already have 15 cats! (Some are indoors.)

She and her kittens may have starved to death if she did not dare come here.
She showed up to my house last year in the fall, and she was already pregnant. When I saw her climb a tree to catch a lizard and eat it, I knew she was desperate. I began feeding her daily, even though she never acted friendly. I have never seen a stray cat more feral than this one. As you say, there is some trust developing now, as she sees me day after day continuing to care for her and her kittens.
